my new "favorite beverage"
my creative workspace
Well... i work best at home. the outside world has too much distractions.i mostly like to work when its quite but normally when im stuck on an idea i play music. I also go to flickr for some inspiration. or if all else fails i go out for a drink.. I guess i try to squeeze as much out before i get inspired from other sources of creativity.
If i think of something outside of the comfort of my own bubble i call home, i always carry at least 5 pens around with me (thanks to my profession in serving patrons tacos) and many receipt that i stuff in my purses. needless to say there is always something i can sketch on, even if it comes down to the back of my hand!

find
so i came across this blog called design milk, pretty interesting stuff. and one of their posts was five great social networking sites for designers:
Are you a graphic, web, industrial, or other designer? If so, there are 5 invaluable sites where you can network with other designers, get inspiration, and build a sweet portfolio.
1. Coroflot has the largest bank of portfolios I have ever seen, recently adding their 100,000th portfolio! You could spend weeks just browsing. Coroflot also has a great design job board.
http://www.coroflot.com
2. Behance lets you build a dynamic, multimedia portfolio of your latest projects, open to all or shared selectively. You can comment on others’ portfolios. The Tip Exchange is also a great resource for sharing sources.
http://www.behance.net
3. design:related is similar to Behance, but it is more focused on inspiration and collecting things that inspire you as a designer. The site also has a lot of great news and features.
http://www.designrelated.com
4. Design Spotter is an online design magazine dedicated to everything related to young modern contemporary design. It focuses on designer portfolios, new products and prototypes, and promoting young designers. You can add your own portfolio too.
http://www.designspotter.com
5. DESIGN 21 is a joint-venture project of Felissimo and UNESCO created to inspire and promote design for the greater good.
http://www.design21sdn.com
These are also great places to check out upcoming designers or find a designer for a project. If you have more suggestions for helpful social designs sites, please post in the comments.

fav artists
well i cant say who are my top five, i dont really look at it that way but a few that stick out in my mind are as follows:
i really enjoy liliana porter, she is actually a video artist that uses toys and places them in various situations. not so much a graphic designer but is quite interesting. here is an example with an article
after visiting la and going to lacma i became very interested in the fluidity with Japanese prints. so no specific artist there. those works were a great source of visual communication and storytelling
i agree with mario banksy is a great street artist, actually one of my favorite. another one is Shepard Ferry (guy that does the Obey stencil art). and speaking of graffiti art, there is this reverse graffiti scene that is interesting to check out as well.
i also have just recently come across corey holms work. i do like his stuff he is quite clever
and thats it for right now.
